The Base Stealer by Robert Francis

Poised between going on and back, pulled
Both ways taut like a tight-rope walker,
Fingertips pointing the opposites,
Now bouncing tiptoe like a dropped ball,
Or a kid skipping rope, come on, come on!
Running a scattering of steps sidewise,
How he teeters, skitters, tingles, teases,
Taunts them, hovers like an ecstatic bird,
He's only flirting, crowd him, crowd him,
Delicate, delicate, delicate, delicate - Now!

This poem is about running bases in a baseball game. The quote "Both ways taunt like a tight-rope walker..." is a simile. The last line repeats the word "delicate" multiple times providing an example of repitition. A good example of alliteration is "...teeters, skitters, tingles, teases, taunts them..." these all using the "T" sound. Overall, I thought this poem was okay, but I didn't get that into it.
