I stare at the tree bare of leaves,
the snow lay gentle on the frozen brances.
I look up high behind the tree and notice the sky,
baby blue and full with fluffy, white clouds.
Fast flashbacks of the past summers awash my mind,
great memories of the long gone adventures, that'll be forever missed.
I long for the warm sun absorbing my skin,
abstaining from home, and feeling free.
I suddenly break free from my day dream and look back at the tree,
the snow is still there, and I still feel the cold breeze.
As the winter grows old, I'll patiently wait for spring,
then as soon as I know it summer will finally be here.
